Ta, ta for now...

I have neglected my blogging duties of late as I have be struggling along with life.
My father, who is 90 and who lives with us got taken to hospital at Easter. He is very good for his age and has always been very active. His age is catching up with him now. We are doing all we can to keep him here at home with us. I love him dearly but it isn't easy at times. My kids are now teenagers and so they help out but it isn't easy for them. They have exams etc to deal with too.
I still have a shop to run, weddings to do and a garden to plot and plant but that is a blessing at times.

My Mother died when I was 7 and my Dad has always been there for me so I feel I should reciprocate.
So I may not have time for the blog as well!
Love to you all and thank you for listening over the years. xxx

we had our grandfather live with us for a few years until his passing~ we were teenagers at the time and i remember feeling the age gap between us when your all under one roof, we muddled along and at the same time we all learnt from the experience...we all got close to eachother and it seemed like he fitted into the family well...but i remember my mum saying she loved him dearly and couldnt bare him in a home~ but she also said it was very hard when he was very stuck in his ways also...thinking of you all, best wishes to yours,

I hope your Father is recovering well and you have special times ahead with him. My Mother lives with us too. She is 93 and it's not always easy as she hates being left alone but we have to continue with our own lives too especially my two teenage boys. She was in her 40's when she had me, her only child, and since my Father died in 2006 she hasn't been on her own for one night but its very tough because she was a hugely talented lively woman and now she is limited in what she can do which makes her sad. You are doing the right thing putting your Father first. I am sure he is very proud of you and comforted at being at the heart of a loving family. Karen xx
