Im rather late in posting about our trip but you know how it is when you get back, lots to catch up on, especially when you work for yourself. I have had some trouble downloading photos - my laptop is my iTunes library and for some reason I cannot get the internet up on my laptop (Im not a great techno person!) So here are a few snippets of Lille and some of the purchases I made.
We had to run inside from the showers a few times, but that didn't stop are enjoyment, just meant we had more cafe/ bar stops! We walked for miles around the cobbled streets, mainly searching for vintage shops. The few we did find were closed unfortunately, so we were a little disappointed but we did find a few stalls on the Sunday market, so we did purchase a few bits and bobs.
The food was delicious and good value. The set menus at lunchtime were unbelievable value .
The hotel cosy and tasteful.
All in all a good time was had, lovely to chat away with my friend and relax. I totally switch off when I go away, something i find hard to do at home (trouble with working from home, there is always something to do!)
There is also the joy of returning home to see everyone and receive lots of fuss of Ede.
I love going away and equally love my life here at home.
A few French finds...

I love your embroidered linen and French coffee pot and the pretty photo looking out of your (hotel?) window. Glad you had an enjoyable and relaxing time.
Good memories :)
