Returned!

The new works van!!

I'm back , after struggling with computer problems and trying to get my new shop up and running! Phew , what a year! I love having the shop but it has overtaken my life. I feel i have had lots of support from friends and family and for that i would like to say a big THANK YOU.X Graham Rice has been very supportive and opened the shop officially, thank you Graham and well done for winning your new award- from the garden writers guild. Carol has been my gardening mate and we have had a fab time sorting that wild garden!!! Fiona and Lucy are my Foxtail Lilly best mates - helping me out when i slipped a disc in my back.
When i first thought id have a shop i thought i would not be doing enough for the children, they were unsure at first but they seem to really enjoy it (for now) They have been so supportive . Poppy helps me in the shop on Saturdays and is a godsend. See has really gained in confidence a really learning the work ethic! http://www.blogger.com/www.foxtail-lilly.co.uk The shop . We have got all the xmas goodies in now.

august in the garden

The weather has been very un-summer like but at least we have some colour in the garden. We must just stop and enjoy the fruits of our labour! The Plants enjoy the rain even if we are sick of it!
Nothing gives me more pleasure than getting stuck into the garden-shaping a border or having a good weed.

Saddly missed Dieter the doggie

Sadly missed, Dieter the doggie. We got Dieter from the animal shelter . He was 11 and full of life but he kept nipping people and was too protective ,when someone came to the door. He bit a friend who he had been ok with , so with having the shop and children with heartache , we returned him . We feel very sad and miss him,
We are still wanting a dog we loved having one and feel a puppy or young dog would be better with children. We quite like the idea of a Lurcher- so if any one has one and can give me some tips or has pups email me .

I can see a rainbow

At the bottom of my garden. We had a double one the other night. One advantage to rain in summer!!

Foxtail Lilly

Hi, and welcome to Foxtail Lilly. This is a picture of my newly opened shop. The shop is where i live and now work! Full of lovely goodies , Fresh flower bouquets that i hand tie .Plants , crafts by local artists and vintage country style gifts. The shop recently officially opened , by Graham Rice the garden writer www.grahamrice.com, who has written many fantastic books . The sun shone all day, what good luck after all the rain!

This is my first posting and i should let you know a few bits of tittle tattle about me and my lot-
My name is Tracey and i am mad about gardening, colour, vintage finds , animals and travel
I have a wonderful if not crazy husband called Rick who is mad on climbing.
Two equally wonderful children Poppy aged 11 and Flynn aged 8
A cat called Tilly . Two hens Dotty and Humbug.
I have been gardening madly for over fifteen years and started to sell plants and flowers from my garden a few years ago, selling on the local farmers market. We had a disused barn and started to transform it in to a shop . Iv wanted to do it for many years, so went for it last year. This took so much longer than i thought but hey , here it finally is and I'm loving it. I have a fab arty and crafty friends that supply stuff for the shop.Come along and see it for yourself or visit www.foxtail-lilly.co.uk
