Saturday -A wedding and a broken till!! The hunt was on for a replacement .
Sunday- Garden, garden ,go out for lunch then garden ,garden. Husband reverses over the boy who waters the plants bike(not while he was on it I might add!)
Monday-We open the garden - last year we had 700 odd visitors. Rain is forecast so perhaps a tab fewer?? Save watering!
Perhaps a lie down in a darkened room is required?

Romantic Roses

Wish you could smell these old fashioned Roses-very intense. They don't last as long as modern hybrids ,but I would pick them every time! This one is called Reine des Violettes ,even the name is romantic. I don't get flowers bought for me by my husband anymore, but I do get Rose bushes for anniversaries ,so I get Roses every year.
This spray rose is called Mimi Eden-dreadful name but a pretty Rose.

This strong wind is playing havoc with the garden. I hope it will drop for the garden open on Monday?? Hope to see you, come and say `Hello`

A jolly day out in Norfolk

We went to West acre gardens , a lovely walled garden to walk round and splendid plants to buy. We meet our friends who live in Norfolk and had our picnic by the Bamboo. Too windy to go on the beach.
We then went to Wells-by-sea. Flynn loves the ice cream . The town is a diverse mix these days of seaside tat and swanky new shops side by side. I'm not sure if the swanky shops work? The best fish and chip shop there and a cider/apple juice shop . Ede pulled-the owner fell in love with her!

weekend

Happy weekend.

We are off to the coast on Sunday-I feel the need for some sea air. I might buy the odd plant or two!! A picnic on Holkham beach-aghh, lovely. I have a hectic week next week. A film crew visiting, a wedding and the garden open on Bank holiday Monday.

Have a lovely time, whatever you do this weekend.
