Cheers me dear!!!

I went out with a very dear friend last night - we both don't do winter very well and dream of Greece in times of grey skies! I was feeling flat Jan and it was so nice to chat about our longings of sunshine over a glass of red . She encouraged me to strive to do the shop and for that i will always be grateful. I love her bubbly enthusiasm and encouragement for her friends . I hope she gets her blue sky this year.

happy birthday to ya.

Ede`s birthday today- a year old. We celebrated with a soggy wet walk in the woods ,so she is all muddy and sulky now.

Not sure whats going on with my website??? Something up in cyberspace!

Sometimes it comes up and today no it don't feel like bothering-um we all feel like that at times!!

Snowdrops

The first of the bunch to shine through.

So simple so cheery on a cold winters day.

Iv been bombarded with wedding bookings for the year ahead-not that I'm complaining !

January is such a good month for planning, i love looking for holidays, new ideas for the shop,my house. I'm not one for starting the new year with diets-Oh no , I'm a firm believer we need stews and sticky toffee puds to keep us warm on winters night and cosy next to the fire.

This and that

When I set up the business and the whole idea of the shop was to combine a mix of flowers country style and from the garden.

Plants to sell reflecting the garden style.

Locally produced handmade crafts

Vintage bits and bobs

A whole package of gifts and treasures .

I also sell candles country gifts etc as its hard for the suppliers to keep up with demand and have such a selection . I have never said we ONLY sell things from the garden or handmade .

As much as id love to 100% Its a tall order.

A lady came in demanding English grown flowers xmas eve-now that is a very tall order in our climate!!

This time of year we ponder on ideas and direction-we shall see where the year takes us.

I love having a MIX of ideas and products and helps the business tic over in winter.

I love to be digging the garden one day -be in a church doing a wedding the next and taking pictures for cards another.
Being open Wed-Sat allows me to do this as well as see my beloved family . Do a weekly shop and sometimes clean the house!!!

Going back into the shop was a shock! You would think i would be use to the cold working with flowers! Yet i don't think i will ever be a winter girl-Roll on spring. Ede is not keen either a snuggle in the warm is all that girl is wanting.
