Ede in a sulk- naughty girl ran off up the road in front of a car - phew she is OK!!

Last night feeling done in slipped in the bath- bruised ribs and winded -feel about 80!!

Someone trying our doors to get in the house in the middle of the night- why bother no expensive antiques, high tec goodies ( only an old portable TV and ancient CD player)

We are not ones for show off gadgets , Creepy non the less!

Summer in the garden seems to fit into two categories - Early flowering and late flowering.

We are defiantly in the later . In the early summer everything seems to behave more and look lush. From July onwards we have dry areas and a lot of deadheading is required.

So i have been clearing some of the flower beds and planting some late arrivals for the summer. A lot of plants i tend to leave to self seed for plants or for picking.

I had a busy day in the garden on Sunday digging away as we have a new area to plant as we have removed the trampoline-love getting my teeth into a new project!!

Well i had to use them didn't i !! Great to do some hot colours a break from the popular pastel shades. The trouble is i love them all - colour is such a wonderful thing .

We are going to close for 2 weeks in Aug from 10th to 30th for a much needed break. We may redecorate and change round the shop after our holiday. We didn't get a holiday last year , not very fair on the children to not go away in the holidays and we also feel we need a recharge . Oundle is so quiet in August so a good time to go.
This summer has been so busy with weddings etc, not that I'm complaining!!

Not well Ede

Hey ho, what a stressful few days. Ede eat a rabbit bone and was sick all day Tuesday. We took her to the vet as she was rasping for breath. She had to stay in all night on a drip as she was dehydrated. What a worry as she might need an op to remove a bit of bone. Also a worry with the cost!!

Luckily she picked up and is home now-Phew!! The vet told us to make her rest! A 6 month pup rest!!! Today she went crazy wanting to run, run , run. Took her on a lovely evening stroll(mad run) So full of energy ,but wont have water so still not 100% me thinks.
