Nor quite winter-yet

Look iv still got lots of Cosmos left and Dahlias. I'm not yet ready to embrace Autumn let alone Winter. I`m not a Winter Gal -So when customer come in and ask!no Christmas stock ? I think `hold ya horses` do we want it all NOW!! Well no, lets embrace the tail end of Summer then the Golden leaves and Rusty colours . Perhaps this endless credit crunch talk is making people think early and spread it out or is it just me??

I have laid a new path in the garden to make weeding and life a little easier!
I have had trouble getting to grips with my cutting beds - despite rain and mass slug invasion, i cannot get into straight lines or beds , I'm going to adapt them to curves and jam pack them to get a full look.

A lovely day out

I has a fab day out this week. Went with friends to Petersham Nurseries in Richmond-OHH , lovely stuff and very inspiring great to go somewhere that's minimalist-yawn yawn!! This place Ouses individualism , quirkiness and shabby chic-cor the prices are mega bucks but its free to look! Makes me want to get a greenhouse.

Anouther Summer wedding on Sat- they wanted Green and blue flowes.

We had a very busy day on Friday we had a photographer from Country Living Magazine here all day - Phew exhausting, but interesting . Will probably be in next year Aug issue?

Makes me realise lots of things i need to do in the garden -its finding the time, hopefully now the shop had been up and running for over a year now i shall have time to a spot more gardening???

The end of summer??

We haven't had enough sun
We didn't eat enough outside
Not enough picnics (WHY?)
Seeds not germinating
Slugs munching Dahlias

BUT WE MANAGED TO-
Trips to the beach
Light evernings and summer flowering bulbs
