British flowers promotion

I went to Covent Garden flower market last week, Sarah Raven was there promoting British flowers. Some London florists gave demos too. I brought some of these lovely scented pinks for the shop.
I would not only like to buy British flowers but would love to buy from local growers , people who have allotments or big gardens and have spare flowers . I still am growing alot of my flowers but would be fantastic to have all local flowers!
Please call me if you are a grower in my area.

My favourite place!

When I'm not in the shop or busy in the garden , this is where you will find me . The most relaxing thing to do reading a book or snoozing in the hammock!!
By the way , the skeleton is of a wild boar, it was an xmas prezzie!!! from the science lab of a school.

Walks in the woods

Lovely walks in the evening , in the woods with Ede.

The Bluebells were lovely.

I planted these bulbs late- due to my bad back . I planted them in Dec/Jan and they seem to be up and colourful

OH, i just love the colour of this vintage watering can . Spring gardening stuff is in the shop and now we have the weather to go with it! I love this time of year , lots to do but early morning bird song and light nights encourage us to get out there! So pop on those wellies and plant and sow for future colour.

Spring in the garden

I love this bright lime coloured Euphorbia, for the vase - sear the ends , dip n boiling water, then rest in cold water.

Narcissus `Thalia` has a slight scent , lovely in a vase or bouquet.

Lovely to be working in the garden , this Honesty looks lovely in the dappled light.

two seasons in one week!

Ede has been with us a week now, feels much more. We are getting a full nights sleep now-phew!! One of the great things about getting her is that it makes me get up early, not being a early riser normally I'm loving the quiet time and getting more done.

Today

Easter Sunday

Well, is it going to make up it`s mind? Deep mid-winter one day, positively Mediterranean the next!
